ACO rescues four pets from neglect

TL;DR We saved four dogs today, but their story has just begun. I'll be updating this blog with their transformation. Also learned a lot about our ordinances, so click through to the next page. Concern about an animal? Call 368-9203 or 251-2200.

  1. NOT EVERYTHING IN LIFE IS GOOD OR PRETTY...HOWEVER IT IS GREAT TO HEAR THAT THE CITY HAS A CARING ANIMAL CONTROL DEPARTMENT. HOPEFULLY THE PERSON WHO TRIED TO KEEP THESE DOGS GETS SOME HELP WITH HIS PROBLEMS...SURELY NO ONE IN THEIR RIGHT MIND WOULD BE ABUSING/NEGLECTING THE DOGS THIS WAY! HUGS TO ALL.

  2. Thank you to all the animal control people and others who rescued these little dogs and provided them with the care that they need. Thank you too for all the hard work you do for the many other animals in the community that are neglected and abused. I hope the perpetrators of this cruel abuse will be held accountable to the fullest extent of the law.

    1. They belonged to a Topeka man, so we actually seized them from him. The two males aren't fixed, so vets think they girls probably aren't fixed either.
